POWER GUARD

The proTEC Powerguard is a professional power distribution and protection unit designed for demanding stage and SFX environments. It combines intelligent power distribution, electronic circuit protection, and full integration into the proTEC Safety Architecture, using high-quality Siemens components for maximum reliability and transparent system monitoring.
Power is supplied through a 32 A CEE three-phase input (400 V) with integrated phase monitoring for detecting phase loss and wiring errors. Voltage indication and load display for all phases allow continuous monitoring of the network load. The unit provides six PowerCON TRUE1 outputs, each rated for 16 A / 230 V, using locking connectors designed for professional touring and stage applications.
Each output is protected and monitored via Siemens SENTRON ECPD (Electronic Circuit Protection Device). This electronic protection technology replaces conventional circuit breakers and provides channel-level current measurement with continuous monitoring of load, overload, short circuit, and fault conditions. The system continuously measures current per output and enables fast detection and targeted isolation of faults.
Outputs can be switched individually and controlled via DMX, while channels can be freely assigned to PTSC (proTEC Safety Channel) groups. This allows flexible safety configurations in which individual outputs or groups of outputs can share the same safety channel. Each channel can independently enter Emergency Halt or Emergency Stop states.
Each output can be configured in several operating modes: permanently active, permanently disabled, controlled exclusively via the proTEC safety protocol, or controlled via DMX with PTSC acting as the overriding safety layer.
This architecture enables selective channel control without affecting the remaining outputs, ensuring precise fault handling and high system availability during operation. Individual channels can be switched or disconnected remotely, allowing selective shutdown without interrupting the rest of the system.
